PURPOSE: The common INTERNAL purpose for everyone is primary and it is to recognize and experience who you really are, which is pure love and consciousness unconditioned by the ego mind. Once you can live from that, your EXTERNAL purpose flows easily, changes from time to time, and is recognized as secondary to your primary purpose, which is internal. Your innate gifts and interests inform your external purpose.
VOCATION: What you do to experience fulfillment and often provide for yourself financially, either as an employee, employer, volunteer, or working in the home. Vocation is important because you spend considerable time there and it can be a major source of satisfaction. Follow these guidelines to experience optimal satisfaction in your vocation:
A. Do what you like and what you’re good at (your skills and abilities).
B. Work with rational, like-minded people.
C. Work in a supportive culture that has respect for all, provides a feeling of being valued, and values collaboration over competition.
